Shadow Shot Sunday : Church Door

I love Pasadena.  There.  I said it.
There is such amazing architecture around there, which isn't always easy to find here in So. Cal., especially places that feel like they have a history.  Pasadena has that feel with many older, beautiful buildings around and tons of gorgeous trees too.

It reminds me of Europe, which I think is my main draw there.  And since I can't just hop on a plane to Europe whenever I want, I can hop in my car instead, and in about 20-30 minutes I'm in Pasadena where I can wander around and pretend I'm photographing a beautiful church in Spain or Italy.

I know it's not the same, but hey...a girl does what she can.  Maybe it'll hold me over until I can make another trip there.....sigh....one day....

These are my Shadow Shots for this week.  To see more or to join in with your own shadows, just pop on over to Hey Harriets for Shadow Shot Sunday.

What a lovely building! Sure does make great shadows!
You're lucky to have a favourite place so close!

Great shots - and what a beautiful building! I especially like how the shadows zig-zag up the steps.

Pasadena looks like a perfect place for a fun photography spree! Wonderful photos! I especially like how the door is framed by shadow. I hope you have a super week ahead :)

Beautiful church and beautiful shadows = beautiful photos ;-) I can understand what you mean. If you hadn't told it was Pasadena I could easily mistake it for Spain of Italy. If it makes you feel better, I AM in Europe and I would love to visit Pasadena .... sigh .... one day .... LOL It would be nice to just switch places, like the movie 'The Holiday';-) (Although that would mean I really need to clean house pffff )

Thank you! I was struggling over which picture to pick for my Christmas cards (ordering today) and that really helped!!! I took some really arty shots in the desert (took a red child's bench) and thought that I should use them because they are "cool", but this one is really more holiday-ish . . . :)
YES, that would be FUN! I am about 3 hours away, but it would make for a great day out . . . I could even bring my camera too and look for some cool shots . . . xoxo

Beautiful shadow shots Esther! I LOVE the first one very much! I love going to Arizona because there too are many beautiful buildings that my camera seems to find! Thanks for sharing your lovely shots.
